Kathleen A. DeHaan, is Associate Professor, Department of Communication and Associate Dean, School of Humanities and Social Science at the College of Charleston. a native of  Peoria, Illinois she has degrees from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Emerson College, Boston, MA and Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois.  She has worked in marketing, corporate communication, and advertising and done speechwriting, communication training, and consulting.
